Our work with CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT), Bengaluru, began with a Memorandum of Understanding between the college and The CyberDiplomat LLC to establish a Centre of Excellence in Cybersecurity on campus — and it has continued ever since.
Teaching on campus
Alongside the Centre of Excellence we have delivered sessions for CMRIT students and faculty, on the practical side of cybersecurity as much as the theory: how attacks actually begin, what good security habits look like day to day, and what the profession expects of graduates.
Advising the Innovation Council
Sanjana Rathi serves as an Advisor to the CMRIT Innovation Council. In October 2025 the council met to plan the institute’s new incubation centre and its wider innovation initiatives — how student ventures are selected and supported, what mentoring and infrastructure they need, and how industry partners can be useful rather than ornamental.
Start-ups built on campus rarely fail for lack of ideas. They fail for lack of structure around them.
