Scale changes the session
A workshop for thirty people and a programme for several hundred are different crafts. With an auditorium of this size you cannot run exercises table by table, so the session has to earn attention differently: real cases, live demonstrations of how an attack unfolds, and questions put to the whole room rather than to individuals.
In a hall this size you are not teaching a technique. You are trying to change a default habit in several hundred people at once.
What students took away
- Your accounts are the target. Email and cloud accounts unlock everything else, which is why they deserve unique passwords and multi-factor authentication.
- Urgency is a red flag. Almost every successful scam depends on making the target act before thinking.
- Your digital footprint is research material. What you post publicly is what an attacker uses to sound convincing.
- Reporting early is free. The cost of a mistake rises with every hour it stays hidden.
- This is a career, not just a caution. Security operations, OT security, audit, policy and cyber diplomacy all need people.
